Tuna and fruits may seem like a strange combination for someone, but I truly recommend to try it. It’s light, but filling at the same time, very refreshing, and the tuna flavor takes on a new dimension inside of it. You can get lots of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and also good carbohydrates out of just one serving of this fit salad.
I like playful salads and meals overall, as you could notice from my recipes. But this salad is one of my favorite ones. I prefer to serve it on a lettuce leaf or I layer it on larger slices of apple. Sometimes I enjoy it for lunch, sometimes for dinner, and I think it would be good as a snack for school or work, but better avoid social interactions during its consumption :)
You can prepare this simple salad in a few minutes, just mix all the ingredients together, and that's it. Add some nuts or dried fruit (I prefer raisins and cranberries), but these optional ingredients are not included in nutritional values. And if you prefer meals with a significant flavor, add ground black pepper, to taste.
Try out this healthy tuna vegetable-fruit salad, I believe you will get to love it too.
