Fitness tuna meatloaf

Fitness tuna meatloaf

Fitness tuna meatloaf is basically a savory tuna pie that can be served as a healthy breakfast or dinner. It is a great source of protein, and it is also very satiating. You only need a few ingredients to prepare this tuna meatloaf, and you don't have to stand in the kitchen for more than 10 minutes. If you enjoy tuna dishes like me, be sure to save this simple recipe - it tastes incredibly good! :)

You won't even sweat while preparing this tuna meatloaf - all you have to do is mix everything together and bake it. And the meatloaf is ready. I used Sun&Sea tuna in olive oil as the base. As we are using tuna in oil, the meatloaf will be perfectly juicy (even if you drain it).

If necessary, you can replace oats for your favorite flour. However, in this case, use about 1/4 less flour than oats; otherwise, the meatloaf will be a bit dry. If you want to change up the recipe a little, you can add herbs, grated carrots, dried mushrooms, olives, or dried tomatoes to the dough next time you prepare it.

I recommend serving the tuna meatloaf with salad or fermented vegetables or with a side dish like quinoa or bread. But it is also excellent on its own. I hope you will love it as much as I do.

Ingredients

  • 100g of oats
  • 3x80g of tuna in olive oil
  • 3 large eggs (150g combined)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp of mustard
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a blender (I recommend this one) until almost smooth.
  2. Pour the finished thick dough into a baking dish (for example, for bread, measuring approx. 25 x 11cm, lined with baking paper or sprayed with oil) and bake the tuna meatloaf for 35 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius.
  3. Let it completely cool before slicing.
