Toasted Whole-wheat Flatbread or Tortilla Filled with Tuna Mixture

Toasted Whole-wheat Flatbread or Tortilla Filled with Tuna Mixture

Crunchy, filled whole-wheat flatbread or tortilla filled with tuna mixture and melted cheese. Another great fit tip for fast food using a whole-wheat tortilla or flatbread. The food is prepared in 15 minutes, just fill it with favorite ingredients and bake it on the pan until crunchy. A lot of protein and just a little of fat - that's what these fit flatbreads filled with tuna mixture are.

I like quick and handy recipes, when I don't have to spend half a day in the kitchen. Especially if I have a very busy day and I really don't have time for the kitchen. Then, exactly these recipes are great - quick, easy to digest, and still packed with vitamins, minerals and proteins. You can also change the content of the tortilla filling, depending on your taste, mood or what do you currently have in your refrigerator. Mix it all together and put it to on the top of whole-wheat flatbread - preparing the lunch cannot be easier.

Try these folded flatbreads. They will be nicely baked from both sides, what will make them crunchy and you will just fall in love melted cheese inside. A great tip for lunch not only for healthy diet lovers, but also for your children who will happily "scramble" the cheese :) Bon appetite!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole-wheat flatbread or tortilla
  • 70g (2.5oz) tuna in own juice (I recommend this one)
  • 30g (1.1oz) grated mozzarella
  • 2 pickles
  • a piece of finely chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp corn
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp ketchup (sugar-free)
  • lettuce

Instructions

  1. First, prepare flatbread, either according to this recipe or use a whole-wheat tortilla from the store.
  2. Spread it with mustard and ketchup from inside, and then put squeezed tuna, onion, corn, pickles, and finally grated cheese onto one half of the flatbread.
  3. You can also put a bit of lettuce to the middle of the ingredients.
  4. Fold the flatbread in half and push it to hold togeher. It's good if you don't overfill it, so it easier to manipulate with it.
  5. Put it on hot pan and bake it from both sides until golden.
  6. It should be crunchy on the top and the cheese should melt.
  7. Serve the flatbread when still warm with lettuce.
