Simple flatbread with onion and tuna

Simple flatbread with onion and tuna

Would you like to spice up your menu and try a new healthy recipe for dinner or a weekend brunch? Try this tasty and simple flatbread with onion, tuna and olives, which offers a high protein and fiber content. It is also a great source of vitamins and minerals, and omega 3 fatty acids, thanks to the tuna.

You can prepare this onion-tuna pie in no time, even the preparation of the dough is very simple. Just mix the flour with yogurt, salt, and olive oil and bake it. Then just place the toppings on the dough in the middle of baking and put the savory flatbread in the oven again. You don't have to worry about any lengthy leavening or special procedures.

I used Sun&Sea tuna fillets in the recipe. I can say for myself that this tuna is still my absolute favorite. It is packaged in glass containers and you can see at a glance that it is a really high-quality tuna. You can put the whole fillets on this savory pie or crumble them a little. The stated amount of ingredients will give you 3 satiating portions.

Do you want to change up the recipe a bit? You can also use mushrooms, for example, or put various other vegetables, cheese, or even chicken on the dough. Bon appétit :)

  • For the dough:
  • 200g of whole wheat or spelt flour
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • For the toppings:
  • a handful of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tsp of olive oil
  • 200g of tuna fillets in brine
  • 1 large red onion
