Cauliflower Bake with Chicken and Balsamic Onion

Tasty cauliflower bake with chicken and balsamic onion will definitely please you. Ingredients

  • 200g (7.1oz) chicken breasts
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 50g (1.8oz) grated cheese
  • 150g (5.3oz) plain yoghurt
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (I recommend this one)
  • 2 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • basil
  • olives, dried tomatoes (optional)
  • For balsamic onion:
  • 1 onion
  • 3-4 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp water
  • pinch of salt (I recommend this one)
  • pinch of ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat and cauliflower into small pieces and put them in a bowl with pre-mixed tablespoon of olive oil, yoghurt, spices and salt.
  2. If desired, you can also add olives and dried tomatoes.
  3. Stir the mixture thoroughly to make the spice evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the prepared mixture into a (glass) baking dish, sprinkle with grated cheese, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes at 205 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit) until the meat is baked.
  5. In the meantime, prepare balsamic onion in a small pot.
  6. Cut onion in rounds and mix it with 3 tablespoons of water, salt and ground black pepper in a pot.
  7. Boil it for a while on a strong flame, and later, when it becomes soft, reduce the flame a bit.
  8. Add balsamic vinegar and stew the onion, stir frequently.
  9. Then you can add a few tablespoons of water, so onion can stew in it.
  10. When it is already soft enough (about 8 minutes later), you can put the onion off the flame.
  11. The onion should contain the minimum amount of a thick sauce.
  12. When the souffle is finished, let it cool for at least 5 minutes, then dose it carefully and serve poured with balsamic onion and gravy.
