Probably all egg-lovers will come to the moment, when they are in the kitchen and think how to prepare those eggs. What to change, refine, improve, and how to prepare the same, and yet a little different. I have a solution - take a muffin mold or silicone molds and come to fold with me. Create walls from ham and put inside anything you just desire. You can also add olives, pepper, herbs, more cheese, just anything that can be hidden under the egg. The baked egg is delicate and very tasty.

Low calorie and low carb are these baked eggs from ingredients that form the basis of the refrigerator of most of us. Try this baked egg the next time you crave for something savory, quick, tasty and nutritious. Yummy!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of quality ham
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp grated cheese
  • 4 Tbsp spinach
  • 4 dried tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In this recipe, you can use muffin mold or silicone molds.
  2. Press the ham into the mold (if it doesn't hold the shape, cut it in half).
  3. Put tablespoon of spinach, tablespoon of cheese inside the ham and press with the spoon to the bottom as much as possible.
  4. Finally, pour one egg into each muffin carefully.
  5. Bake prepared muffins for about 13-15 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (395 degrees Fahrenheit) - until the egg white is well cooked.
  6. The yolk should be a little bit underdone. If you accidentally burn the edges of ham, you can cut them off after baking.
